Quality Engineer

SUMMARY:
A great new opportunity has become available for a Quality Engineer with our leading client in the automotive sector, based in Uitenhage/Kariega.

POSITION INFO:
Skills and attributes:

• Good planning and prioritising skills.
• Very good understanding of IATF 16949.
• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
• Manage changes in line with IATF, customer and company requirements.
• Draw up, schedule and maintain internal audits. Updating schedules in line with plant KPIs.
• Maintenance of the QMS.
• Arrange, prepare and take lead of external system audits.
• Good knowledge of CQIs.
• Scope of work may cover Quality Engineer function.
• Any other tasks reasonably assigned by the QM within your capability and grade.
• Ability to present data effectively.
• Analytical skills.

• Conduct and facilitate G8D investigations for both OE and internal reported quality problems - present findings/outcomes to customers/management. 
• Update and close out G8D register including the admin on G8D network folder.
• Assist and cultivate a culture of Continuous Improvement by promoting innovation, structured thinking methods and using company operating system.
• Display quality improvement project objectives/results by effective visual management methods at various locations in the plant and meeting room.

• BDegree in Engineering/BTech in Quality advantageous
• 3-5 years'' experience within automotive environment as Engineer
• G8D, process capabilities experience with reference
• Knowledge of Customer Service Requirements and Portals
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and CP and manufacturing engineering - no less than 5 years
