POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Quality Engineer (Equity)

Location: Uitenhage

Salary: R35 000 to R60 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification + benefits

40 hour week

Qualifications / Requirements  

• Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor and recognized Tertiary Qualification essential
• IATF certification / qualified essential 
• PRoven experience dealing with automotive manufacturing customers and handling of any issues, essential 
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in the automotive industry
• Excellent communication (written and spoken) skills at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of confidentiality
• Highly computer literate with advanced MS Excel

Key Performance Areas

• Processing customer complaints and complaint reports including return processing / reporting
• Coordination and release authorisation in the event of faulty products
• Decision on how to proceed in the event of quality deviations
• Participation in the organisation and execution of audits
• Organisation and execution of warehouse and dispatch controls
• Participation in the planning and assessment of checks
• Technical support and advice ensuring inspections of purchased foreign material / ensuring the inspection of documentation
• Host training seminars on quality relevant topics
