SUMMARY:
A defence company is seeking a Quality Manager.

POSITION INFO:
An armored vehicle manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead their quality team in the manufacturing and assembly of armoured vehicles and their integration systems. This role is pivotal to shaping and upholding quality standards, ensuring that their products are safe, reliable, and meet defence industry expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties Will Include:

Design, implement, and maintain QMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and sector-specific standards.
Promote continuous QMS improvement across the organisation.
Oversee product/service quality assurance, ensuring adherence to standards and customer expectations.
Manage inspections and audits during production/service delivery, implementing CAPA for quality issues.
Analyse and optimise processes, streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and minimise defects.
Collaborate with suppliers, establishing quality criteria for selection, retention, and material compliance.
Conduct internal/external audits, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Monitor quality KPIs, such as defect rates and customer satisfaction, and report to leadership.
Address customer complaints, collaborating with departments to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Identify and assess quality risks in processes, products, or services, mitigating potential impacts.
Maintain detailed quality documentation and records, ensuring accessibility for audits and compliance.
Work with production, R&D, and engineering teams, integrating quality into design and manufacturing stages.

Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional leadership and cross-functional team collaboration.
Advanced analytical skills for process optimisation and risk management.
Proficient in quality management systems, auditing, and data analysis.

Education / Experience:

Degree in Quality Management or an equivalent field.
Extensive experience as a Quality Manager in manufacturing or regulated sectors.
Comprehensive expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, QMS, and continuous improvement methodologies.
