JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Quality Manager to join their dynamic team in Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Lead and develop the Pretoria plant quality team
Represent customer requirements internally
Define plant Quality strategy, objectives, monitor and report progress.
Identify and initiate improvement opportunities (QRCI, etc) and participate in problem solving activities.
Ensure quality expenditure meeting budget requirements
Create/promote a quality/customer focus
Manage the plant quality system in accordance with the company Excellence System.
Ensure proper staffing and development of the Plant Quality organization
Ensure compliance with all quality standards and systems
Monitor cost of quality and initiate improvement projects
Report quality results to all relevant parties and maintain quality records/documentation
Collaborate with the purchasing organization in all activities and initiatives concerning supplier quality assurance.
Interrupt the manufacturing or the delivery of products when quality is not assured.
Authorised to stop the line when not meeting the quality standards
Act as plant management and customer quality representative

Job Requirements:

Degree, Honours/ master’s in engineering/ Quality sciences is essential
Established decisive team player
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality with 3 years in a senior managerial position
Manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry
Solid knowledge of Quality management systems in production
Process orientated with exceptional customer relationship experience
Working knowledge of SAP System
Proven record of building strategic working relationships with customers
