Quality Manager Seed RSA

SUMMARY:

An international chemical manufacturer and leader in the agricultural industry is seeking the above to drive and lead their Quality Assurance Organization in South Africa, ensuring to deliver seeds that meet regulatory, business and customer needs in the region.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Bachelors'' degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain or similar
• 10+ years ‘ relevant work experience is essential
• Computer literacy and SAP knowledge will be required
• Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS is important
• Budgeting and cost management experience will be ideal

 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading the RSA Quality Assurance team and activities related to processes, product specifications, inspection plans, usage decision, QRT, product placement, product recall, product on-hold and substitution for customers.
• Managing people and providing leadership to the Quality team in RSA and offering required support.
• Managing batch prioritization and FEFO adherence, designing and sharing reports with relevant stakeholders including production, planning, QT and SCM for effective management of DNO both Foundation and Commercial seeds while enhancing customer experience.
• Collaborating with regulatory stewardship, AP/LLP core team and government agencies and securing Seed business License to Operate for both Foundation and Commercial operations.
• Developing both Operational and Strategic Quality Risks to reduce, prevent and accept risks and identify the top-Quality business risks in RSA for actions and follow up.
• Designing QA metrics and dashboards for RSA and periodically sharing with relevant stakeholders for decision making and process improvements.
• Leading seed treatment safety for both exports and local in collaboration with Seed Growth Centers and Seed Applied Solutions to ensure 100% compliance in partnership with regulatory stewardship.
• Representing Quality in corn campaigns, area analysis, retrospective meetings, regional meetings, periodic and ad hoc quality connections.
• Designing end to end Quality processes and participating in relevant certification processes (including ISO, ETS) ONEPSS, as one point of contact for QA.
• Leading External Complaint Management process improvements in South Africa and ensuring timely resolution per the set regional KPI target to enhance customer experience.
• Designing and implementing Quality Improvement projects for RSA in liaison with stakeholders, including Quality Excellence, Production, QT, SCM, MEX team and ensuring Management of Change process is followed.
• Managing the QA budget, CAPEX and operational in RSA in consultation with Africa QA lead and Finance.
• Connecting and aligning with the Product Supply, Supply Chain Management, Africa Quality team and EMEA Quality team to drive PS/QA strategy.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
