JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available! Our well known client in the Automotive sector based in East London is looking to employ a Quality Supervisor to join their dynamic team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Supervise the quality department in areas such as control of non-conformances, SAP 8D reporting, Gauges control, R&R studies, calibrations and verification of production equipment.
Supervise and co-ordinate SHE activities within the company
SHE internal audits, appointments and structure of SHE Committee, Training on SHE Policy and other requirements, control of SHE records and data, housekeeping, monitor/control of emergency equipment, co-ordinate SHE programmes.
Sustaining the Integrated Quality Management Systems
Compilation and co-ordination of corrective actions raised.
Co-ordinating corrective action meetings in all departments.
Manage annual audit schedule.
Ensuring that processes needed for the integrated quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
Ensure compliance with OHS and Environmental Legislation, including group or customer specific requirements and operating permits for special activities,
Reporting to senior management on the performance of SHE and quality department.
SAP updated for scrap cost, gauge control.
Ensure that the process owners and risk/opportunities are identified.
Ensuring that you assist on selecting special characteristics, setting of quality objectives and promotion of awareness of customer focus throughout the organization.
Compiling monthly SHE and quality reporting.
Ensure that the customer portal is excessed for reports such as customer score cards, corrective and preventive actions.
Reporting to senior management the integrated quality management system and any need for improvement.
Conduct process and product audit as per schedule.
Participation in KVP projects.
Assist in updating FMEA’s and Control Plans, Work Instructions and line side documentation.
Compilation and co-ordination of corrective actions raised.
Apply root cause analysis for non-conformances.

Job Requirements:

Completed Matric/ Grade 12
Completed Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Quality Engineer
B-Tech Mechanical/Quality will be an added advantage
Sound knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6,3 and ISO 9001 standards

Skills:

SAP QM knowledge
VDA 6.3 auditor
Good influencing skills
Customer focus
Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
