Job & company description:
As a quality welder, you will play a key role in ensuring that all welded components and assemblies meet required specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will work in a busy fabrication workshop, collaborating closely with fabricators, engineers, and quality control personnel to deliver defect-free welding work that supports manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:
You will interpret and work from fabrication drawings and welding symbols to produce high-quality welded assemblies using the appropriate welding techniques. You will prepare, fit, and weld metal components using manual and semi-automated welding processes. You will inspect and test welded joints to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards, identifying and correcting defects where required. You will maintain welding equipment and ensure all tools are kept in good working condition. You will adhere to all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. You will work closely with quality control teams to complete welding documentation and support continuous improvement of welding and fabrication processes.

Job experience & skills required:

A recognised welder qualification or relevant technical certification.
Proven experience in industrial welding, including mig, tig, and arc welding.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Sound knowledge of welding safety standards and workshop practices.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
