My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantitative Analyst with research experience, machine learning model development experience, and investment experience to join their dynamic team at one of the largest insurance organizations in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems, a deep understanding of statistical analysis and modelling, experience in applying machine learning techniques to large data sets, and knowledge of investment principles.

Education:

• BSc Mathematics Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Applied Maths/Actuarial Science/BMI
• Honours Degree will be advantageous

• Minimum 2+years’ experience in model development
• Previous experience in investments will be very advantageous
• Experience in SQL, SAS, R/Python
• Financial services experience
