Quantitative Analytics Manager - Financial Services

SUMMARY:
Our client is a giant in the financial services and strategy consulting space. The role will entail developing quantitative analytical models to analyze business trends, risks and forecasts, and creating, validating and testing the assumptions feeding the quantitative analytical models.

Quantitative Analytics Manager (Financial Services)

Our client is a giant in the financial services and strategy consulting space. The role will entail developing quantitative analytical models to analyze business trends, risks and forecasts, and creating, validating and testing the assumptions feeding the quantitative analytical models.

You will engage with organisations in various sectors, and understand their business challenges and unlock opportunities to utilise analytics in resolving these challenges.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

• Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or related quantitative discipline required (non negotiable)
• 5-10 years of experience in quantitative environment (ideally using tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Matlab, R)
• 2-3 years management experience
• Above average skills in time series analysis, non-linear regression, machine learning, or other advanced modelling approaches
• Relevant industry certifications such as CFA or FRM would be a strong advantage
• Prior experience using Tableau, Power BI, or Clikview to manipulate, analyze, and visualize large, complex data sets is desired
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence others
• Prior experience with a consulting firm or diversified financial services firm highly desired

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg.
