Our client in the public water sector is seeking a detail-driven Quantity Surveyor (Cost Engineer) to join their Technical Services Unit at the Head Office in Polokwane.

🎯 What You’ll Do
Join their capital projects team and play a key role in managing contract administration, cost control, and invoice verification. You’ll collaborate closely with their Finance Department and engineering professionals to drive project efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee commercial aspects of capital projects: cash flow, procurement, valuations
- Validate invoices via site quantity verification before approval
- Lead contract correspondence and contribute to technical forums
- Develop dashboards to monitor payment progress and milestones
- Draft EoTs and variation orders with project engineers
- Review legal and insurance documentation (bonds, guarantees)
- Mentor learners and interns; shape development plans
- Ensure HSE compliance across operations
📚 What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor''s in Quantity Surveying
- Registration with SACQSP
- 5+ years'' post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in bulk water supply projects
- Contract experience with GCC / FIDIC / NEC / JBCC
- Proficiency in cost engineering, financial systems & dashboards
