SUMMARY:
A large property based group in Gauteng is looking to fill the role of an in-house Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business with multiple projects on the go at any given time.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for projects.
On-site Measurements and Material Take-offs:

Perform on-site measurements and take-offs from drawings to accurately determine material quantities.
Contractual Management:

Support project teams with procurement, documentation, and contractual compliance.
Liaison:

Interact with contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather information and address queries.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

Track project progress, cost variances, and provide reports to project managers.
Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate project records, including measurements, cost data, and contractual documents.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

A relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Software Proficiency:

Computer literacy with experience in relevant software such as CCS, Buildsmart, WinQS, or DimX.
Technical Skills:

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, work with BoQs, and perform calculations.
Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
