Quantity Surveyor

POSITION INFO:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Measure and price planned jobs for estimates from outset until completion (Insurance, Retail, Property Portfolios & Privates)
• Determine bill of quantities and materials
• Attend site meetings
• Do site visits to monitor progress & assessments
• Apply to tender bulletins / tender boards.  Ensure that we are on tender vendor panels & bulletins
• Sourcing tenders suited to our CIDB grading
• Collating of tenders
• Visit the tender sites to measure
• Preparing a work schedule/ programme
• Price reactive / emergency jobs “as & when jobs” for Portfolio Administrators
• Preparation of contracts
• Analyzing completed work & authorizing sub-contractors payments
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables

Experience in:

• Knowledge of the built environment, construction and facilities management industries will be advantageous
• Adheres to any and all company policies and procedures

• Works with the marketing department to develop new sales strategies
• Weekly & Monthly Sales Reports

Remuneration: 

• Basic Salary – Market Related and dependant on experience
• Company Cellphone
• Company Car during the day only

Pre requisites:

• National Diploma in Building
• B-Tech in Quantity Surveying
• BSC  - Quantity Surveying
• Proven Track Record
• Preference will be given to a BEE person and PDI person.
• Valid Driver license
• Aged between 30 and upwards
• Computer literate
• High level of numeracy
• Prepared to travel nationally
