To provide quantity surveying advisory and support service to the project in terms of contract collation, costing, payment certification, evaluation and dispute resolution to meet the contract management services needs from a central database

Purpose of the Job: To provide quantity surveying advisory and support service to the project in terms of contract collation, costing, payment certification, evaluation and dispute resolution to meet the contract management services needs from a central database

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s): - Perform functions and advise on quantity surveying standard services - Draft cost estimates for capital projects - Monitor consultants, contractors and supplier performance in terms of quantity and costs - Draft, review, measure and control enquiry documentation - Reconcile and forecast expenditure - Mentor and coach personnel - Draft cost estimates for capital projects.

Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in Quantity Surveying with 4 years'' experience or BTech Quantity Surveying with 6 years'' experience or National Diploma Quantity Surveying with 9 years'' experience. Project Management Diploma and Professional Registration, and familiarity with the Eskom environment will be an added advantage.

Other competencies and requirements: The candidate must demonstrate - Good communication and report writing, business acumen, teamwork and collaboration, persuasion, planning and organising, mentoring, coaching and analytical skills. The candidate must be knowledgeable in quantity surveying, earned value management, planning and scheduling, project, contracts, construction, cost and engineering management and be motivated to drive projects.
