Quantity Surveyor - IGrow Wealth Investments (New Developments)

POSITION INFO:

South Africa’s #1 Property Investment Group is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their New Developments team!

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Measurements:

• Ensure that onsite measurement presented are accurate
• Evaluate and spot check onsite measurements
• Receive input and update measurements
• Ensure all measurements are accurate and up to date for the processing of valuation claims

2. Costing:

• Compilation of all information required for costing of additional works
• Evaluate all variation orders
• Communicate and liaise with all sub-contractors in order to receive relevant quotations that are to be included into price.
• Generate applicable site instructions for approval submission.

3. Valuation claims:

• Apply standard procedure to determine accurate valuation claims
• All sub-contractor valuations claims are to be certified by onsite measurements before final inclusion
• Ensure that all valuation claims include sub-contractor measurements, inhouse trades, independent consultant measurements and any additional costings.
• Analyse final account for entire project in order to ensure that all monthly valuation claims are reconsolidated into project final account

• Ensure all administrative duties are up to date and accurate at any given time.
• All documentation is to be updated, signed off and submitted on time.

Requirements: 

• BSc degree or a national diploma in quantity surveying
• 3 – 5 years working experience
• Business Acumen

• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Must be able to work under pressure
