POSITION INFO:

South Africa’s #1 Property Investment Group is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their New Developments team!

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Measurements:

Ensure that onsite measurement presented are accurate
Evaluate and spot check onsite measurements
Receive input and update measurements
Ensure all measurements are accurate and up to date for the processing of valuation claims

2. Costing:

Compilation of all information required for costing of additional works
Evaluate all variation orders
Communicate and liaise with all sub-contractors in order to receive relevant quotations that are to be included into price.
Generate applicable site instructions for approval submission.

3. Valuation claims:

Apply standard procedure to determine accurate valuation claims
All sub-contractor valuations claims are to be certified by onsite measurements before final inclusion
Ensure that all valuation claims include sub-contractor measurements, inhouse trades, independent consultant measurements and any additional costings.
Analyse final account for entire project in order to ensure that all monthly valuation claims are reconsolidated into project final account

4. Onsite procurement

5. Administration:

Ensure all administrative duties are up to date and accurate at any given time.
All documentation is to be updated, signed off and submitted on time.

Requirements:

BSc degree or a national diploma in quantity surveying
3 – 5 years working experience

Risk Management
Problem Solving
Computer literate
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Must be able to work under pressure
