Quote Specialist
POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for a driven, organised and highly accurate Quote Specialist to join their team. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who is commercially minded, sales driven, detail-oriented and solution-focused , with the ability to manage multiple RFQs and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage customer RFQs and prepare accurate, competitive quotations. Source products and obtain competitive supplier pricing. Compare pricing, specifications, availability and lead times. Calculate costs, markups and gross profit. Negotiate supplier pricing and delivery terms. Read and interpret technical specifications, BOQs and datasheets. Source alternative products where required. Track and follow up outstanding quotations. Support Sales Representatives and contribute to quote-to-order conversion. Verify customer POs against quotations. Maintain accurate quotation records and documentation. Work closely with Sales, Buying, Logistics and Finance teams. Requirements 3-5 years'' relevant experience , with at least 2 years in quotations, sourcing or technical sales. Experience with pumps, valves, motors, bearings, steel, piping, tools, PPE or similar industrial products is advantageous. Strong costing, negotiation and supplier-sourcing skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and follow-up skills. Matric \/ Grade 12 essential. Advanced Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy. Experience with quotation\/accounting systems is advantageous. Own transport and driver''s licence required.
