Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer with operations in Africa and Europe.

Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, You will be responsible for:

• Overseeing manufacturing processes within the plant, ensuring that production lines run without any problems and minimum downtime
• Ensuring that products are manufactured to a certain quality standard and adheres to other safety/industry-related legislation, policies and standards both internal and external
• Asset care of equipment, buildings and property
• Continuous improvement of production and maintenance processes
• Compliance as per OSHACT GMR2 legal appointment for a site with installed capacity >3MW
• Direct activities of manufacturing in order to ensure that manufacturing performs to the required standard and practices and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.
• Reporting on and clarifying relevant performance statistics as required
• Developing and drafting an improved production process
• Increasing speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality
• Working with budgetary plans for the project
• Co-ordinating activities of human resources to ensure that each functional area delivers on required outcomes and responds to business changes
• Training production employees where necessary to improve competencies
• Diagnosing origin of breakdowns including human error and trouble shooting problems

Qualifications

• BSc/BTech/ND Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
• GCC Factories

Skills

• A minimum of 7+ years proven experience in production and asset care management
• Engineering aptitude and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiencies
• Proven people management skills and interaction with unions
• Excellent communication skills, presentation and numeracy skills
• MS Office and exposure to CAD software will be advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and detail-oriented
• Results and deadline-driven
