Job Description

You will fulfil the role of the Owner’s Project Manager and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects.

• These projects will be varied from new installations to maintenance and efficiency improvements of existing installations and will vary from studies to execution.
• Ensure that all identified projects are tracked and progressed through their various phases.
• Coordinate and manage stakeholders; facilitate smooth interparty communication and allocate responsibilities.
• Engage and work with engineering professionals who are charged with producing timely and high quality technical work.
• Manage and co-ordinate a portfolio of projects from a governance and reporting perspective
• Review SoW’s for projects and ensure suitable execution plans and subcontractors are selected.
• Ensure the consolidation and integration of engineering and project functions.
• Conduct continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (revenues, installation margins, freight cost, manufacturing operations, etc.)
• Manage support programs and technical trouble shooting related to projects.
• Manage relationship with client and subcontractor especially in terms of change management/problem resolution

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Engineering

Skills

• Minimum 10 years experience in multi disciplinary projects, with EPC/EPCM exposure
• Exposure to the Secunda environment a plus
• A good communicator – A position with multiple interfaces at multiple levels
• Strong leadership, management, coaching and organisational skills
