Our client is a leading global supplier of equipment for the mining, metallurgical, sewage, wastewater, pulp and paper, food, and chemical industries.

Job Description

Reporting to the MD, You will be responsible for:

  • Effective management of the service centre and field services team.
  • Create a stable, reliable and safe work platform in order to support the service business for the benefit of both the customers and the company.
  • Optimise quality, quantity, time and cost on each job to ensure total customer satisfaction at
    required margins.
  • Maintain and grow the Service business to increase the Service Order Intake and Sales numbers for the workshop
  • Managing the service centre and field services.
  • Manage a staff compliment of 15 employees
  • Manage the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and workload scheduling using capacity planning
    as the base
  • Coordinate the day to day support activities
  • Ensure that all of the Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality requirements are complied with
  • Visit the various field services sites at regular intervals to ensure successful execution off the
    maintenance activities
  • Liaise with the customer’s representative at engineering/management level
  • Material control of stock and operational material
  • Implement proper management systems to execute activities efficient and effectively
  • Manage the commercial systems relevant to the service centre
  • Maintain control system of specifications, documents, technical reports etc.
  • Development of personnel through appropriate training
Qualifications
  • BSc/BEng/BTech Engineering
  • Project Management qualification
Skills
  • Ability to manage and run an Engineering Service Centre/Workshop
  • Ability to manage staff, including remote site work and deal with all issues
  • Ability to work on several projects at a time
  • Experience or a sound track record as a project manager.
  • Working knowledge of separation and pulp and paper or similar machines.
  • Good skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience in costing, estimating and completing of proposals.
