Our client is a manufacturer of steel products.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, You will be responsible for:

• Electrical, general plant mechanical maintenance and projects.
• Projects – initiating, supervising and implementing various electrical projects to improve plant utilization, productivity, efficiency, quality standards and cost effectiveness
• Continuous improvement – identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects
• Scheduled plant maintenance – perform scheduled maintenance and preventative repairs for electrical systems, equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot maintenance – conduct regular inspections, assess potential problems and initiative corrective actions/solutions before plant and machinery downtime occurs
• Breakdowns – identify cause of plant and machinery breakdowns and implement corrective measures
• Supervisory duties – supervising, delegating, training, developing, coaching and disciplining subordinate personnel

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/BTech Electrical Engineering

Skills

• 5-10 years'' maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferable from the Steel industry
