Job Description

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, You will be responsible for:

• Producing detailed designs
• Ensure that the discipline designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards, and the relevant legislation
• Provide a design interface between disciplines.
• Ensure design information received from vendors, contractors and consultants are accurate and interfaces with other designs.
• Prepare technical specifications, design criteria and documents required by the project.
• Responsible for engineering content, discipline design drawing and technical documents within a project.
• Review and comment on documents from own and other disciplines.
• Prepare RFQ (request for quotation)
• Compare procurement costs and provide feedback to estimating, produce technical adjudications, purchase orders.
• Review equipment and installation contractors and vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications.
• Check vendor progressing schedule and manufacturing.
• Produce factory acceptance tests and provide input to vendor’s test documentation.
• Produce site inspections (cable, tray, etc) inspection and assist commissioning.
• Prepare project close out reports with comparison of design and procurement budgets.
• Respond to technical queries from projects, client and site.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng Electrical Engineer
• Pr Eng (preferable)

Skills

• 4 - 5 years'' experience on EPC/EPCM projects
