Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, You will be responsible for:

• Engineering and Design
• Scope EPC projects from basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, installation and commissioning
• Compile works information, quotations and technical scope clarifications
• Review tender documents, compile project activity schedule for drafting and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate and supervise design functions within a project: concept proposals, design changes and sourcing suppliers to meet design intent
• Drafting piping and mechanical site sketches, drafting modifications required on site, generate design concepts, generate redline drawings for various piping and mechanical EPC projects during construction
• Preform piping/mechanical engineering calculations in accordance with health and safety standards (ASME codes such as B31. Series and API 650), client specification, good engineering practice and company procedural requirements
• Participate with MFD development, MFD review, HAZOP study, capture the design intent and assist to implement maintenance improvements
• Compile, review and approve piping and mechanical Bill of Material (BOM)
• Identify long lead piping components and special piping components
• Compile certificate of design for modified pressure equipment
• Review technical design, data sheets and specification done by sub-contractors for various projects
• Write piping and mechanical technical design reports
• Review and sign off on isometric drawing and mechanical drawings (low pressure tanks and supports)
• Review work done by various multidiscipline in projects: process, civil, C&I and equipment suppliers
• Fabrication and Construction
• Provide technical support for cost estimation for procurement and proposals department
• Provide engineering support to construction team during fabrication, plant installation and commissioning
• Attend Pre-manufacturing meetings (PMM) with clients to ensure alignment between the fabrication team and client requirements/specifications
• Perform inspection of fabricated designs and do QC/QA after fabrication
• Resolving and addressing punch items, technical clarification, concessions during construction and installation
• Performing QA/QC activities with the client for sign off: Mechanical Completion (MC) and ready for commission (RFC)

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering
• Pr Eng (preferable)

Skills

• A minimum of 5+ years'' experience in an EPC/EPCM environment
