SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturer of plant nutrition products is seeking an R&D Chemist to support production and research and development efforts, overseeing product formulations, quality control (QC), and safety in production, ensuring legal conformity and alignment with company strategy.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have BSc Degree in Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years working/researching experience in chemistry and/or agriculture industry is essential
- Knowledge of local legislation and legal procedures of Official Bodies will be required
- Must have strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Must have a valid driver's license
The successful candidate will be responsible for:- Planning Planning, organising, and managing experiments for new and improved product formulations.
- Conducting product stability and compatibility tests.
- Ensuring technical quality of raw materials and final products.
- Scheduling and executing product-related projects aligning with company strategic initiatives.
- Implementing and controlling the Quality Control Manual.
- Establishing the Tank Mixability Lab and maintaining the database for field teams.
- Proposing improvements in formulations, processes, and products.
- Providing technical support for new product launches and troubleshoot customer complaints.
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and standards set by Official Bodies.
- Maintaining accurate product and company records.
- Assisting in compliance with inspections and requirements of biostimulants, pesticides, and fertilizers.
- Staying updated with changes in legislation and provide support to other departments for product maintenance.
- Maintaining Health and Safety standards in laboratories.
- Supporting customer and internal Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental audits.
- Engaging effectively with industry associations.
- Achieving budget goals for new product registrations.
