Job Title: R&D Weapons Mechatronics Engineer (Jnr)

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
- Matric with average of 85% (non negotiable);
- BEng / BSc in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in R&D or systems engineering
- Strong understanding of control systems, robotics, and embedded platforms
- Proficient in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), circuit design tools (e.g., Altium), and C/C++ or Python
- Experience with sensors, actuators, and feedback control loops
Beneficial requirements:- Exposure to military-grade systems, weapons platforms, or fire-control systems
- Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements and environmental testing (EMI, shock, vibration)
- Knowledge of autonomous systems or target tracking algorithms
Duties and responsibilities:- Design and develop mechatronic subsystems for advanced weapon platforms (e.g., turrets, guided systems, fire-control modules).
- Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into compact, rugged, and field-ready solutions.
- Develop and test actuators, sensors, control systems, and embedded electronics for real-time operation.
- Contribute to concept development, prototyping, and verification testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, mechanical, and systems engineers.
- Apply safety and compliance standards in line with military and defence specifications.
