REGIONAL MANAGER - FREIGHT FORWARDING (UPINGTON)

SUMMARY:
Our client within the Clearing and Forwarding Industry is seeking a Regional Manager with Freight Forwarding and Cross border experience to be based in Upington, Northern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric
• 2-5 years related experience in the clearing and forwarding industry

• Incoterms knowledge

• Excel, word and power point knowledge
• Cargo Wise experience

 

 Duties include but not limited to:

 

• Manager all the offices and staff in these offices and ensure that the work is carried out on time.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance
• Ensure attendance is checked, check that leave forms are completed and applications are done with the policy
• Keep updated on customs related matters
• Communicate with customers and key accounts to ensure that the job is carried out in accordance to requirements
• Attend any issues that staff may have
• Quarterly visits to all border offices and customers
• Ensure that reports are submitted to management on customer and site visits
• Sales in an around the Upington area and other area in the Northern Cape to grow the division
• Quality and audit reports to be done regularly to ensure that staff and applying the correct HS codes.
• Approval of high value shipments from the manager as well as head office.
• Ensuring that all customs payments are done on time and we do not default on any requirement
• Checks and sign off on accounts related matter.
