REPORTING ACCOUNTANT (FIXED TERM CONTRACT) CAPE TOWN

An immediate vacancy for a Reporting Accountant for a maternity cover contract has become available in the Finance team, based in Central Cape Town.

Fixed Term Contract from 1 June 2022 – 31 October 2022

Reporting directly to Group Financial Manager, the responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Preparation, consolidation and submission management accounts and EXCO reports
• Checking and monitoring GL recons for applicable companies
• Consolidation and submission of Estimates and Budgets to Group
• Preparation for interim and annual audits and liasing with auditors
• Co-ordinating the preparation and review of annual financial statements
• Calculate and complete provisional and annual tax and monthly VAT returns
• Monitoring and assisting with calculations and submission of other group company's provisional and annual tax submissions
• Preparation and maintenance of relevant IFRS schedules

Qualification:

• CA (SA)

Experience:

• Consolidation experience
• Strong technical IFRS experience
• Company tax knowledge
• Access database knowledge an advantage
• Sage 300, Hyperion knowledge an advantage

Required skills:

• Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner, ensuring accuracy and neatness
• Able to meet deadlines – priority
• Aptitude for figures and attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Computer literacy required – Advanced level
• Able to work independently
• Strong co-ordination skills
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
