JOB DESCRIPTION:

An immediate vacancy for a Reporting Accountant for a maternity cover contract has become available in the Finance team, based in Central Cape Town.

Fixed Term Contract from 1 June 2022 – 31 October 2022

Reporting directly to Group Financial Manager, the responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

Preparation, consolidation and submission management accounts and EXCO reports
Checking and monitoring GL recons for applicable companies
Consolidation and submission of Estimates and Budgets to Group
Preparation for interim and annual audits and liasing with auditors
Co-ordinating the preparation and review of annual financial statements
Calculate and complete provisional and annual tax and monthly VAT returns
Monitoring and assisting with calculations and submission of other group company's provisional and annual tax submissions
Preparation and maintenance of relevant IFRS schedules

Qualification:

CA (SA)

Experience:

Consolidation experience
Strong technical IFRS experience
Company tax knowledge
Access database knowledge an advantage
Sage 300, Hyperion knowledge an advantage

Required skills:

Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner, ensuring accuracy and neatness
Able to meet deadlines – priority
Aptitude for figures and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Computer literacy required – Advanced level
Able to work independently
Strong co-ordination skills
Enthusiastic and willing to learn
