SUMMARY:
Our client in the Telecommunications and Information technology sector based in the Western cape is seeking the services of an experienced Radio Frequency Technical Installation Engineer to join their team
POSITION INFO:
Project quality planning(targets/standard/organization) and control, to reach goals and objectives and contract requirements
Setup project standard with clients , organize internal and external quality training, build the model sites for training, achieve 100% self-check from subcontractor,implement project random quality check, improve project quality to achieve site acceptance targets
Monitoring major quality problems, customer problems and preventive measures till closure
Monthly KPI evaluation of each subcontractor and internal quality team from quality point of view
Maintains all required documentation,internal/external quality related documents management,collecting and sending to other teams
The ideal candidate will have strong site supervision and telecoms installation experience of 2G/3G/4G/5G with BTS /site upgrade/Swap/ RF / Microwave / Transmission equipment.
Must have knowledge of BTS site build quality standards, equipment installation standards and basic software commissioning.
The candidate will supervise the installation, acceptance, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of BTS sites in the field to ensure quality and adherence to the implementation schedule. He / she will ensure compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. The candidate may require an appropriate relevant qualification and 5 years up of related experience and will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

- Strictly adhere to and apply client''s Health and Safety procedures and rules.
- Perform acceptance testing in accordance with the Acceptance Test Manual as per clients
- Conform and adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental legislative requirements.
- Report any health and safety concerns/incidents in the workplace to the manager / health and safety representative.
- Assist company to establish and maintain a fully compliant Healthy and Safe Work Environment.
- Attend the Safety, Health and Environmental workshops as required by management.
Information Management
Participate in information sharing process
Provide technical advice and reports to Regional Leader
Weekly and monthly reporting
Provide semi-professional technical support for Subcontractors
Identify problem areas and correlate with Regional Leader
Requirements:
Must have at least 3 years’ installation experience in the Telecommunications Industry
