POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Rates & Pricing Administrator to assist in analysing customer requirements, accurately estimating costs for freight and forwarding services, and to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible in liaising with Internal Stakeholders, including commercial team
Analyse customer inquiries and requirements
Evaluate shipment details
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Utilise industry knowledge and market trends
Prepare and present detailed cost estimates
Monitor and update pricing databases and systems
Collaborate with sales and operations teams
Stay updated with industry regulations, market trends, and technological advancements

Key skills:

Ability to work irregular hours
Working knowledge of Google workspace and Shipshape
To have the ability to read and understand shipping freight and other charges
Ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
Strong organisational and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Fast learner in internal and external computer systems and processes
Ability to work with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external

Qualifications:

Grade 12
Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business Management or related field
A minimum of 3-years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics with good knowledge of general/dry cargo using various shipping methods
