Job title: Ready-to-eat Production Manager

Our client, based in the Cape Wineland area, is in the food production industry and they are looking to hire a Ready-to-eat Production Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

Requirements:

• A degree in food science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• A proven track record with 2 – 3 years’ hands-on experience in a ready-to-eat food production setting.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and a commitment to quality assurance procedures.
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
• Outstanding leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to embrace overtime, night shifts, and weekends as the operational rhythm demands.

Responsibilities:

• Spearheading and optimizing our ready-to-eat production processes, ensuring a seamless and consistently high output.
• Enforcing stringent quality control measures to guarantee our ready-to-eat products surpass the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Guiding and nurturing a team of production professionals, cultivating a collaborative and vibrant work environment.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers on groundbreaking new product development (NPD), ensuring the fulfilment of customer expectations.
• Keeping a vigilant eye on inventory levels, orchestrating orders, and steering supply chains to uphold production efficiency.
• Continuously assessing and enhancing production processes, uncovering opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancements.
• Ensuring unwavering compliance with all pertinent food safety and regulatory standards.

This position is based on site and is full time, Monday-Friday.

Starting date: As soon as possible

Location: Cape Winelands

Salary: R40 000-R45 000
