Receiving Clerk

SUMMARY:
CAPE TOWN - OTTERY

We are seeking a motivated Receiving Clerk to join our client in the packaging manufacturing industry. Accurately capture and book in raw materials into the system to ensure the integrity of raw materials quantities and pricing.

Location: Ottery, Cape Town
Type: Full-time, Temporary (3-6 months)
Pay: R110 per hour

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Engage with the raw material supervisor daily to verify the quantity of raw materials delivered against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Match supplier invoices to received goods and validate against orders.
• Accurately account for shipping and transport costs based on freight forwarded invoices for every international raw material delivered.
• Record raw materials in Syspro by combining the materially on cost and shipping expenses to ensure accurate landed cost tracking (LCT).
• Highlight and record any duties charged incorrectly on freight forwarder invoices.

• Matric
• SAP, Pastel or Syspro system

• Physical strength to move tables and machines.
• Strong technical aptitude with basic mechanical experience.
• Strong numeracy skills and familiarity with measuring tools.
• Good attention to detail and learning potential.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as needed.

• Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Ottery, Western Cape before starting work.
