POSITION INFO:

Our Client, a major player in the Construction Industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a recently qualified and a minimum 5 years experienced CA(SA) Analyst Accountant for their Midrand, Johannesburg based Operations.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• This initially is a 3 Month’s Probationary role with a view to permanent appointment. 
• The successful appointee will be required to fit into a Financial Analyst type role, with contributory involvement on the accounting side.
• Accounting analysts work closely with the accounting department and other financial professionals within the organization to help evaluate the organization''s income and spending.
• This role often requires working collaboratively with others in the organization to provide detailed reports that include projections for profits and losses.
• Account analysts provide reports necessary for higher-level decision makers.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• At Minimum, a Degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields preferred
• A recently qualified CA (SA) will enjoy a distinct advantage
• 5 Years’ Experience in a Finance environment
• Degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields preferred
• 5 Years’ Experience in a Finance environment
• Critical math skills is ESSENTIAL
• Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior experience using database tools and spreadsheet software such as Excel
• Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations quickly and utilize information in written reports
• Comfortable with preparing and delivering reports to decision makers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively with other finance professionals within the organization
• Utilize math skills to analyse key financial data
• Prepare financial reports on a determined schedule
• Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization
• Utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding
• Research current economic and financial outlook
• Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise
• Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities
