Minimum Requirements • Matric Certificate (Grade 12) • Hospitality qualification or diploma (advantageous) • Minimum 3-4 years' experience within a hotel Front Office environment • Previous experience as a Front Office Shift Leader, Senior Receptionist, Front Office Supervisor, or similar leadership role • Strong hands-on OPERA PMS experience essential • Strong computer literacy, including OPERA PMS and Microsoft Office • Previous experience within a busy 4-star or 5-star hotel environment preferred • Excellent communication, leadership, and guest service skills • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays • Professional grooming and presentation • CV must be fully updated prior to submission What You'll Be Doing • Taking full ownership of the Front Office operation during your shift • Leading, motivating, and supporting the Front Office team to ensure smooth daily operations • Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using OPERA PMS • Delivering exceptional guest service while creating memorable guest experiences • Welcoming guests, managing VIP arrivals, and handling special requests professionally • Resolving guest concerns quickly and effectively while maintaining service excellence • Monitoring arrivals, departures, room allocations, room status, and daily operational reports • Conducting shift briefings and structured shift handovers • Maintaining Front Office standards, SOPs, financial controls, and operational procedures • Ensuring billing accuracy, cashiering controls, and smooth shift closures • Working closely with Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations • Assisting with training, coaching, and developing Front Office team members • Supporting audits, reporting requirements, and operational compliance Why Join The President Hotel • Be part of Cape Town's Most Loved Hotel • Work in a high-volume, professional hotel environment • Play a key role in our journey toward luxury • Lead a Front Office team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences • Engage with a diverse international hotel guest base • Competitive salary, company contribution to medical and pension and great team culture
