Receptionist
Our client, in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a well-groomed and professional receptionist join their team
The purpose of this role is to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while efficiently managing front desk operations. This role supports organisational effectiveness by handling administrative tasks, directing inquiries, and maintaining communication flow.
Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha
Job type: Permanent - On Site
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and maintain schedules.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries efficiently.
- Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow-up.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update databases as required.
- Support the procurement team in resolving any supplier or delivery issues.
- Filing and document management.
- Managing petty cash, ensuring accurate reconciliation and timely reporting.
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Essential).
- Relevant receptionist experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
- Buying assistant experience advantageous
Skills Required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
