Village N Life seeks an experienced reconciliatio0n clerk with debtors experience.

The purpose of the role is the assume the primary day-to-day planning and controlling all reconciliation related functions and activities within the VnL group. Ensure smooth and streamlined reconciliation process focusing on accuracy and integrity of the finance department and the OPERA system. The candidate should be able to implement systems that directs the collection, calculating and posting of outstanding accounts.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric
Relevant HR/Payroll degree.
Financial diploma advantageous
Advanced OPERA system knowledge
Sage accounting advantageous
Hospitality industry experience advantageous
At least 4 - 5 years experience in recon and debtors

Main duties:

Cash and credit card reconciliation across our properties
Liaise with all departments on reconciling items
Control cash drops
Balance the daily takings with the OPERA system
Maintaining good working relationships with the bank and various departments
Control and maintain Group petty cash
Ensure monthly recon is performed with with invoice and issued stock, and invoice the relevant hotels
Voucher control
Ensure night audit packs reconciles and recons are performed
