JOB SUMMARY:
Recruitment Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the job is to assist in ensuring that our recruitment process runs smoothly by providing recruitment and selection services.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Liaise with regional HR personnel regarding vacant positions.
  • Prepare internal and external vacancy circulars.
  • Validate and confirm correctness of positions in draft circulars.
  • Publish and advertise circulars on the relevant platforms.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies, line management, internal and external applicants.
  • Collect, sort and record internal applications before sending them out to relevant regions. Assist with shortlisting.
  • Schedule and invite candidates for interviews.
  • Compile interview packs.
  • Conduct interviews as and when required.
  • Conduct background (qualification and other relevant documentation verification) and reference checks.
  • Schedule driving assessments where necessary.
  • Assist with referring employees for entrance and exit medical exams where applicable. Maintain Recruitment database for Persons with Disability. Ensure compliance with Recruitment and selection policy.
  • Ensure that appointment decisions are made in line with EE targets.
  • Assist Recruitment Manager to ensure timeous submission and signing of recommendation reports.
  • Process and follow-up recommendation reports.
  • Ensure that all recruitment documents and files have all the necessary signatures and relevant supporting documents before forwarding them for approval.
  • Prepare and ensure correctness of appointment letters.
  • Regularly update and check vacancy track-liner and provide feedback to Line and Recruitment Manager.
  • Receive and keep record of approved recommendations and appointments.
  • Ensure that invoices are correct, signed and sent for capturing to facilitate payment.
  • Provide weekly recruitment report to Recruitment Manager.
  • Assist to organise induction every month.
  • Liaise with Regional HR personnel in ensuring that necessary arrangements are made to ensure that new employees attend induction i.e. transport arrangements.
  • Liaise with people presenting at induction regarding dates and induction presentations. Ensure that presentation slides comply with corporate identity.
  • Organise refreshments and corporate gifts for induction.
  • Oversee the smooth running of induction i.e. changing the programme when necessary. Manage the filing and record keeping of the EE & Recruitment Unit.
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF 6)
  • 3 years'' experience in recruitment and selection
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Employment Equity practices
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office packages).
