SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their team in Gqeberha. This is a key role responsible for the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, with a focus on servicing industrial and commercial clients. The scope includes chilled water systems and chillers.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including chilled water plants and chillers.
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and service callouts.
- Diagnose faults and conduct troubleshooting on chillers and refrigeration systems.
- Commission new air conditioning and refrigeration installations.
- Ensure all work complies with company SHEQ standards and ISO procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric or N3 Technical Qualification
- Trade Test Certificate – Refrigeration Mechanic (Industrial)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HVAC/Refrigeration systems
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
- Clear criminal record, with ongoing compliance
- Safe Handling of Refrigerant Certificate – advantageous
- Experience working with chillers and chilled water systems – advantageous
