SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals requires the above to perform gap analysis, product launches and training of agents and farmers with the aim of identifying new opportunities for the current and new product range within the Limpopo/Mpumalanga regions.



POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in agronomy, crop protection and plant nutrition is essential
  • Previous experience in speciality plant nutrition and biological products is required
  • Above-average communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, including farmers, will be required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel


The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to training programs and product presentations for sales teams, distributors and agents.
  • Defining demonstration trials plans and driving trial implementation in the region.
  • Collecting and presenting data from demonstration trials.
  • Contributing to key account approach development- customer data base with key promotion activities.
  • Performing commercial trial work on all new bio-stimulants biological remedies and specialist nutrition.
  • Providing agent service and technical support.
  • Utilising relevant commercial and /or demonstration trial locations as marketing/demonstration days.
  • Providing product support.
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge of the markets and submarkets.
  • Contributing to portfolio positioning strategy & continuous improvement in terms of value proposition statement.
  • Assisting with product training, presentations & promotion materials.
  • Planning and executing product launches in the assigned regions.
  • Contributing to future portfolio strategy by identifying and suggesting new market opportunities.      
  • Developing product pricing strategy, including competitive analysis and differentiation.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
