SUMMARY:
Are you a strategic compliance leader with experience navigating complex regulatory environments in growth and emerging markets? A global organization is seeking a Regional Compliance Manager – AME to oversee and drive the implementation of its compliance program across Africa and the Middle East. This critical role will ensure alignment with global standards while tailoring compliance initiatives to regional business needs and risks.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the implementation of the company’s compliance program across Africa and the Middle East.
Drive improvements that align regional compliance practices with global policies and regulatory requirements.
Champion a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability through awareness campaigns and training.
Develop and deliver region-specific compliance training and education initiatives.
Monitor and report on regional compliance trends, program effectiveness, and key risk areas.
Support and enhance mechanisms that promote a speak-up culture and good faith reporting.
Partner closely with business leaders to embed compliance into daily operations.
Utilize predictive analytics and technology to proactively identify and manage compliance risks.
Prepare reports and updates for Corporate Compliance and Regional Leadership.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

5–7+ years of experience advising businesses on compliance-related matters.
Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs in emerging or high-growth markets.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
High ethical standards and a deep commitment to integrity and ethical leadership.
Effective decision-making abilities balancing regulatory risk, business impact, and operational efficiency.
Self-starter with strong teamwork orientation and proven ability to drive accountability.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, Qlik, or Tableau.
Experience working in cross-functional, global project teams.
Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Forensics, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Postgraduate qualification in any of the above disciplines is preferred.
