Civil Engineer /Construction Manager required at major hospital group in KZN. Role will entails Project management, construction Management and facility Management of the region. SACPCM registration asa project Construction Manager and solid skills in hospital turnkey Project Construction/property Management essential.
POSITION INFO:
Position: Regional Construction Programme Manager: Hospitals
Location: Durban
Full construction and Property Management function within the private healthcare / hospital environment
Project manager will be responsible for full Construction Program Management and the roll out of construction Projects. Successful applicant will also take full responsibility for the development and maintenance of existing hospitals, clinics and other properties
Qualification:
- B. Tech or Degree in construction managment or civil eng.
- 10 years’ experience in Construction Project management and Facility management
- Must have experience in hospital building projects
- Advantageous if person has a Construction Project Management; Engineering or Facility Management qualification
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Prepare, monitor and implement budgets for Capital building projects
- Overall budget and cost control, ensuring compliance Liaison with local authorities and Department of Health as well as all internal divisions within the Group
- Co-ordinate and mobilise full external professional teams on projects, ensuring compliance and good industry practice, including compliance with project processes and funding approvals
- Applying of risk management principals on all projects within the different stages of development
- Ensure quality control of projects through monitoring of professional teams, documentation and building processes
- Detailed record keeping of all project and property related documentation
- Assisting with improving / developing and maintaining of the Group Project and Engineering policies and specifications
