Regional Contracts Manager

POSITION INFO:

Degree in construction sciences or similar.

MS Office 

Minimum of 10 years working experience with residential development

Plan and coordinate multiple projects from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget with the help of other departments such as the QS department and other professionals.

Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment via the approved procurement process.

Ensure the construction drawings equals the sales drawing: ensure clients receive what they have purchased.

Check and scrutinize design documents with architects, surveyors, engineers and others.

Cost engineer such documents.

Interview and manage staff for the project with the help of HR.

Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control is followed to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Ensure each phase of each project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.

Liaising regularly with local authorities on all plan submissions, applications and other required services for each project.

Appointing contractors for external works to the project or for the project itself.  Obtaining occupation certificates to ensure transfers of apartments timeously.

Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.

Write reports that might be required for any specific discipline or general to any of the project
