Regional Manager Depot Operations Port Elizabeth

SUMMARY:
Our client a national leader in the manufacturing sector requires a Regional Manager for their Depot Operations in Port Elizabeth.

The person will need to have a Diploma in the Logistics/Supply Chain field, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment in a managerial capacity. 

POSITION INFO:

Overall Function: Facilitates the availability to order of clean and well-maintained product.

• Scope: In charge of multiple facilities within a defined geographical area.

Minimum Skills & Experience:

• Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain field.
• Minimum of 5 years'' working experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment in a managerial capacity.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Personality for building customer/personnel relationships.
• Fully versed and proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products at intermediate level.
• Must be willing to work overtime and will be required to travel.

Financial:

• Approves and Manages the variable expenses within the facilities within budget.
• Scrutinises all intended expenditure for appropriateness, necessity and approves/ amends accordingly.
• Analyses expenses monthly on the maintenance of Assets and MHE and reports accordingly.
• Maintains Scanning Discipline to ensure accuracy of and invoicing.
• Reviews and manages the final approval of job cards to ensure correct allocation of damage costs.
• Cost effectively manages the relocation of equipment to and from Company and Client facilities.
• Coordinates and manages the ad hoc Item Area and quarterly Stock counts at all facilities.

Customer:

• Performs daily audits of processes associated with ensuring clients are issued with clean and well-maintained product.
• Performs and ensures the adherence to quality checks on ATP before despatch by all facilities
• Addresses, to conclusion all and any Client query or complaint on receipt and without delay.
• Liaison with KAMs to address Client issues, supply and quality.

Internal processes:

• Pro-active management of all operational practices of facilities within the KPI parameters.
• Implements and ensures adherence and conformance to SOPs, Rules and Regulations and Company Processes, Procedures and Systems.
• Responsible for the implementation of the OHS/ EHS, Safety and Security of all facilities.
• Complies and ensure the availability of Safety files on Client Sites.
• Management, completion and timeous submission of required documentation related to Employment, Termination, Payment, Invoicing, Stock management and movement, Supporting documentation, etc.
• Performs and completes monthly depot audits – reports and actions accordingly.

People:

• Ensures optimal staffing at all facilities.
• Facilitates the Training and development of depot management and personnel.
• Facilitates, Creates and maintains a working environment conducive to productivity.
• Performs regular performance reviews and feedback on depot and on-site management.
• Ensures the effective induction and training of all new recruits.
