Regional Sales Manager - Agriculture

SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturer of plant and animal nutrition is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager with good technical knowledge in farming practices and crop production within the Mpumalanga Province.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or relevant sales experience within the industry
• Good knowledge about the area in terms of farming practice and crop production
• Ability to identify new opportunities and exploit them to the benefit of the company
• Strong communication and sales skills are required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel
• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Incorporating company procedures and policies in the operations of the business unit.
• Providing recommendations to appoint appropriate agents in the respective region.
• Achieving regional targets as set by management.
• Monitoring and reviewing project activities and ensuring its completion within the scheduled time and budget.
• Managing business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of the organization.
• Developing new marketing strategies.
• Building strong relationships with the customers in order to maintain good revenue growth.
• Creating a harmonious working environment, training and mentoring agents and motivating all team members to perform efficiently.
• Exploring and analysing market trends and identifying new opportunities in the assigned region.
• Coordinating with Marketing to develop and implement operational plans for new product launches.
• Working on requirements provided by senior management whenever required.
• Preparing and submitting reports promptly as required by the company.
• Submitting client reports.
• Compiling annual and quarterly forecast for the assigned region.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
