Regional Visual Merchandiser, Fashion Retail, East London

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Regional Visual Merchandiser for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape. 

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with tertiary qualification advantageous
• 5+ years’ experience in a relevant role in clothing retail environment
• Valid drivers license and willing to travel extensively in the Eastern Cape area
• Computer literate on MS Office
• Candidate must have a flair for fashion and retail

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Contribute creative thoughts to promote products, conceptualize and implement focal statement to store operations
• Implement displays, groom staff, and ensure deadlines are met
• Design floor plans, monitor lighting, identify locations within store
• Maintain merchandise fixtures and maintain housekeeping
• Product merchandising – ensure space utilization; change displays; implement promotions; move stock; oversee housing of stock; management of inventory
• Marketing material / store signage – ensure marketing guideline is updated and contribute creative ideas and promotional strategies
• Train store staff in merchandising and identify/groom individuals
• Reports on stores visited
• Extensive travel is required – company pool vehicle supplied

Salary: Market related basic; company pool vehicle for travel; tools of trade
