Registered Nurse

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse (Psychiatric) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of comprehensive, quality nursing care in line with our standards of excellence.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients within a psychiatric facility
• Promote cost-effective healthcare delivery by reducing stock wastage and supporting equipment maintenance
• Facilitate department-specific micro-orientation and ensure team members are adequately trained
• Conduct daily care rounds and address any patient-related complaints in a timely manner
• Provide clear, accurate communication with patients and their families throughout the care journey
• Support effective risk management by implementing and monitoring SHEQ and infection prevention protocols
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Incorporate doctor preferences and stakeholder needs into the care environment

Minimum Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse
• Diploma in Psychiatry or relevant SANC-registered specialty
• Experience working in a psychiatric facility
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private healthcare
• Must have own reliable transport and availability for stand-by duties and call-outs
• Computer literacy and accurate documentation skills
