Registered Nurse (AICU qualified)

SUMMARY:
An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse (AICU Qualified or Experienced) to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, specialised care in our Adult Intensive Care Unit.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care aligned with clinical best practices
• Ensure efficient cost management by reducing stock wastage and maintaining equipment
• Support onboarding through department-specific micro-orientation
• Conduct daily care rounds and assist in investigating patient complaints
• Provide timely, accurate communication with patients and their families during hospitalisation
• Implement and monitor effective risk mitigation strategies in line with SHEQ and infection control protocols
• Comply with infection prevention standards to maintain a safe care environment
• Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Identify and incorporate doctor preferences and stakeholder expectations into patient care plans

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• ICU qualification or demonstrable ICU experience
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU experience in private healthcare as a Registered Nurse OR
• Minimum of 5 years’ ICU experience as an Enrolled Nurse
• Computer literacy and accurate documentation skills
