Registered Nurse- Advanced Midwife with Neonatal ICU

Well established hospital looking for Registered Midwife with Neonatal ICU experience for their Maternity Unit. You could make a difference as a Maternity Nurse with your holistic care of patients in Maternity.

Responsibilities:

• Practices patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assumes total responsibility for these activities
• Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
• Attend handover of report at shift commencement in Maternity
• Promote patient of health and wellbeing
• Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors
• Execute all procedures according to hospital standards
• Mentoring and supervision of junior healthcare providers and support staff

Requirements of Position:

• Must have a Diploma in General Nursing
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council
• Registered Midwife
• 2 years Previous experience in Neonatal ICU advantageous
• Thorough knowledge of general / specialized nursing theory and practice
• Extensive knowledge of modern nursing care principles and practices in the highly specialised field
