Registered Nurse ICU

SUMMARY:
We are seeking four experienced Registered Nurses to join our ICU team. The successful candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, comprehensive nursing care. This position reports directly to the ICU Unit Manager.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the ICU
• Ensure efficient cost and stock management, minimizing wastage and supporting equipment maintenance
• Support department-specific micro-orientations and staff development
• Conduct daily care rounds and address patient or family concerns professionally
• Provide accurate and compassionate communication to patients and their families throughout hospitalization
• Promote effective risk management, including SHEQ and infection control measures
• Implement and monitor preventative practices to reduce clinical risks
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Understand and integrate doctors’ preferences and stakeholder needs into daily operations

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (essential)
• 3–5 years’ ICU experience in a private healthcare setting
• Proficient in basic computer applications
