JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client in the Private Healthcare Industry is urgently seeking a seasoned Rehabilitation Doctor to join their friendly team in East London.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Carry responsibility for the clinical assessment and daily management of in patients admitted to the unit
Positive engagement as a member of the interdisciplinary team on planning and implementing rehabilitation plans
Maintain patient outcome standards according to the Quality Management System
Communication with funders and insurers regarding patient condition, progress and future needs
Communication with family members is key to keep them updated on the medical condition and to answer medically related questions
Assist with the making of the business and the positioning of the unit in the provision of this challenging focus and teamwork
Drive a programme for the development of existing and new clinical services / products
Represent the image of the company at a professional level
Promote and maintain sound and productive relationships with the rehabilitation interdisciplinary team, doctors and other stakeholders in the field of Rehabilitation
Drive and build sound working relationships with the referring specialists and keeping them abreast of the progress of their patients
As part of stakeholder management, referral of specialists to the business will be a continued focus area
Monitor the service provided and ensure a high level professional training for staff

Desired Experience & Qualification

A MBBCh and registration with the HPCSA
Current ALS accreditation
Experience in rehabilitation and clinical neurological care is an advantage
Experience in leading a team of professionals and successfully providing clinical supervision to professionals
Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
Specialist training as a registrar and or registration as a specialist in related specialties’ would be an advantage
Computer proficiency
