Relief Lodge Anchor and Admin Couple

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly capable Lodge Anchor and Admin Couple to join our team at our prestigious 5-star lodge located in the heart of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. As a Lodge Anchor, you will be responsible for guest satisfaction, overseeing lodge operations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. The Admin Couple will handle administrative duties such as reservations, guest relations, and office management. This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated couple to contribute to the success and reputation of our luxury lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lodge Anchor:

1. Guest Experience Management:

• Ensure exceptional guest experiences through personalized service and attention to detail.
• Oversee all guest interactions, including arrivals, departures, and special requests.
• Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to maintain satisfaction.

1. Lodge Operations Oversight:

• Coordinate with department heads to ensure smooth operation of all lodge facilities and services.
• Monitor lodge cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.

1. Team Leadership:

• Provide leadership and guidance to lodge staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct training sessions and performance evaluations to maintain high service standards.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to excellence.

1. Wildlife Experience Enhancement:

• Collaborate with guides and trackers to enhance wildlife viewing experiences for guests.
• Coordinate special activities such as game drives, bush walks, and cultural excursions.
• Share knowledge of the local ecosystem and wildlife with guests.

Admin Couple:

1. Reservations and Guest Relations:

• Manage lodge reservations, including bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
• Communicate with guests regarding reservation inquiries and special requests.
• Ensure accurate guest billing and invoicing.

1. Office Management:

• Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including email and phone inquiries.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.

1. Administrative Support:

• Assist with financial administration, including petty cash management and expense tracking.
• Coordinate staff schedules and communicate effectively with all departments.
• Provide support to management as needed for special projects or events.

POSITION INFO:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for both roles.
• Knowledge of reservation systems and office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) is required.
• Familiarity with the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and wildlife is advantageous.
• Must be willing to live on-site at the lodge.
