Relief Night Auditor

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end‑of‑day audits: reconcile daily financial transactions, cash, credit card payments, and room revenue
• Balance the guest ledger and ensure all charges (room, food & beverages, services) are posted correctly.
• Handle check‑ins/check‑outs during late/overnight hours
• Respond to guest inquiries, complaints or emergencies during the night. Provide friendly, professional service
• Set up and manage wake‑up calls, reservation changes, cancellations, and guest requests
• Prepare and distribute nightly reports for management (financial, occupancy, reservations etc.)
• Monitor safety and security protocols during shift; coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping if needed
• Ensure front‑desk area, lobby, and common areas are kept tidy and guest‑ready

Requirements & Skills

• Previous experience in a front desk, auditing, or hotel night shift role preferred
• Good numerical / accounting skills; able to reconcile accounts, work with cash & electronic payments
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Comfortable using hotel property management system (PMS) and standard office software
• Reliable, trustworthy, ability to handle guest requests or issues calmly
• Night shift availability, including weekends and public holidays as relief is required
