The Opportunity
An award-winning, established Cyber Security company using AI and ML to create complex and bespoke solutions are looking to add a Software Lead to their team.
They have offices situated throughout the UK, but trust in you to work 100% from home if that''s your preference. So, whether you live in the very north of Scotland or the very south of England- we will have a hub for you, or you can work remotely.
The Role
You''ll be looking after a tight-knit team of 7, overseeing projects, mentoring junior colleagues whilst having full autonomy to be able to hand pick new additions to your dream team. You''ll also be hands on- using cutting edge tech and tools that you are able to make key decisions on.
You''ll be comfortable giving technical direction, making technical decisions, liaising with stakeholders, and experimenting with new tech/methodologies.
They''ve spent the last few months getting everything in place for a brand-new greenfield project. You will play an instrumental part here, overseeing and contributing to this. Experience seeing a project from concept to completion would be fab. If not, you''ll have a hunger to learn and not be phased by a challenge!
The project you''ll be working on initially is to create a "first of its kind" in the world- there is nobody pushing the boundaries in the Cyber Security world quite like this team, and you can be part of it, from the very start!
The Stack
They don''t expect you to know it all, but they are using React for their front end, Python in the back end, pulled together by a Node API and with Azure as their chosen cloud platform. Any GCP or AWS skills will be transferrable- so don''t let that put you off applying.
It would be a bonus if you had an understanding of CI/CD, DevOps tools, and experience in the security AI or ML sphere, but this definitely isn''t a deal breaker.
They have really solid engineering principles in place too like TDD, working in an Agile environment.
